With one percent per attack that should be some great deal of patience.. Fortunately for someone, you are..
The shields also take up part of attacking fleet strength. Unless the shields are down, do not send your ships by setting them to attack. Set them to raid instead. Otherwise your ships with reduced attack power will just stay there and get hit.
Titans also have an energy transmission advantage. Combined with shields, they can take all their ships to any planet of their choice.
Courtesy of this technique is to Yorl of c|m... If you have a titan enemy with 3 planets, and you have the ships and the time, divide your fleet into three and send them to all three simultaneously. If your fleet did more than 50% damage to shields of one planet, cut down the size of next attacking fleet to that planet by 50%. Keep on sending smaller fleet till the shields of all his planets are pathetic. Now you can pick the planet of your choice and attack it. Also send something small at the other planets as well.
Yorl's enemies are smart but other dudes might just rush all their fleet to defend the planet with broken shields, letting you to go after another of his planets.
He use this so that a defender wont know where to defend.
